EWS Exchange 2007 CF9 - advice needed

I'm caught in the middle of this quagmire.  We are in the process of moving to CF10.  In the meantime, I've lost the ability to interface CF to Exchange.  I'm not the sharpest tool in the toolbox,  but in general, I can get it done.  If I just had the tools.  I don't completely understand the web service interface.  Couple that with C#, PHP, and .net being the only example out there for interfacing with the Exchange server,  I don't have the foggiest idea of how to make it work.  I can connect to the server.  I can send an email via the Exchange server.  But the one most important feature I need is creating calendar items.  And that I can't figure out.  The latest error is  setStart is undefined.  When I dump the class it is clearly there.

So, here's the big problem;  Do I need to learn C# ( or some similar "language") and how to use it in CF ?

Finding freelancers interested in coding it for me seems to be out.  I only got a single response form some of the job boards.  It hasn't worked out so far.

Forums similar to this one hasn't panned out.  Either I don't pose the problem well enough, or I just get responses from byte-heads with half-baked suggestions, then they shrink away in embarassment.

I have a gut feeling about not configuring EWS and the jar files properly, but can't confirm anything.  The Microsoft docs and the Adobe docs are really lacking.

I just need a little advice about what "development" strategy to persue.  And I need it PDQ!
